Atila was born into a Turkish Cypriot family in London and began singing at the age of 15 with a local big band,

Atila started his professional career with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra

Atila is now an established Jazz singer , Sartorially stylish and musically classy, his interpretations of the American Songbook are internationally renowned, taking influence from early Frank Sinatra.

In autumn 2009 Atila received an invitation from the Nelson Riddle Foundation to perform in The Nelson Riddle Story in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Whilst in the US he also sang live on the Joey Reynolds Radio Show in New York

In early 2010 Atila performed at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival with the BBC Concert Orchestra and John Wilson Big Band. The concert was broadcast live on BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night.

Atila and Chris perform together as duo vocals in thier Nat and Matt and Bible’ and Bennett shows and we are delighted to have Atila join the The Syd Lawrence Orchestra as guest vocalist on tour
