Damon Oliver
Tenor Saxophone / flute / clarinet

Damon is a saxophonist whose professional life has taken him around the world, from orchestral work to big band and beyond. Alongside his work with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, he regularly performs with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and London Philharmonic Orchestra and is an in demand session musician for television, film and popular music artists.

Since graduating from the Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Music his career has seen him perform at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, The National Television Awards, Cadogan Hall and LSO St Luke’s, as well as recording at renowned studios like Abbey Road and BBC Maida Vale Studios.

Damon is also currently touring with his own project “The Homecoming Quintet”, a tribute to Dexter Gordon and Woody Shaw, two of jazz history’s most prominent figures. Alongside a busy schedule performing, Damon also enjoys his work in education and has recently been invited as an examiner to the Royal College of Music.
