Tom Mark - Double Bass
Tom was born in London 1976 . He played various instruments from the age of 10 before finally settling on the double & electric bass. He studied at Leeds College of Music and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since graduating Tom has worked with various bands and musicians including BBC Big Band, John Wilson Orchestra, Listen to My Music - Music of the Ted heath Orchestra, Back To Basie, Jay Craig orchestra, Stephen Triffittʼs Sinatra live at the Sands Concert and Ray Mcvay's Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Also Spike Robinson, Selina Jones, Tina May, Marion Montgomery, Ray Gelato, Gary Williams, Jeff Hooper, Matthew Ford, Kevin Spacey, Bruce Forsyth, Bradley Walsh and his dad, baritone saxophonist John Williams. He has also played in the musical productions of The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas, White Christmas, Funny Girl and the play Jumpers by Tom Stoppard. Tom first played with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra in 2004, deputising for Andre Messeder and is very happy to have joined the orchestra in April 2010.
