Paul Fawcus - Saxophone
Born on the way to Edgware General Hospital in 1966, Paul attributes his early musical aspirations to the sirens of the ambulance. After attending sixth form college in Harrow, Paul joined the Royal Air Force, his service culminating in 5 years as lead alto with the RAF Squadronaires.
For the last 10 years Paul has worked as a freelance musician and sound engineer. He is the woodwind player for internationally acclaimed flamenco artist Juan Martin and other playing credits include Nicky Spence, Frances Ruffelle, Pete Cater Big Band, Ken McCarthy Seven, Zena James, Four Corners, Azul, The Jordanaires, Rat Pack, Murderous Instincts, Money to Burn, Manhattan Swing, Dave Willits, Abba the Show and, of course, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra.

When not performing Paul runs his JazzMouse Productions company engineering for BBC Radio Big Band with Abdullah Ibrahim, Georgie Fame, Ken Poplowski, Jon Faddis, Randy Brecker, Mark Murphy, Claire Teal, Phil Robson, Christine Tobin, Jamie Cullum, Dee Dee Bridgewater, the Danish Radio Big Band, Ian Dixon, Joanna McGregor and Lulu. Other engineering credits include the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Pasadena Roof Orchestra, RAF Squadronaires, Raymond Gubbay, MPH 2005 & the Real Thing.
